Cabinet-specific lighting fixtures, or simply cabinet lights, originated in the 1980s, first introduced by American lighting design master Bentley Meek in his work "Wedding Amber." Over the years, cabinet lights have evolved from simple quartz lamps (spotlights) to dedicated lighting fixtures for each section of the cabinet. Their light source has evolved from early halogen lamps to later fluorescent lamps, and finally to the mainstream LED light source of today. Modern cabinet lights are developing towards intelligence and networking to meet the demands of safety, energy saving, and environmental protection.
