When installing cabinet lights, it's important to note that during the initial on-site measurements by the cabinet designer before the initial plumbing and electrical work, you should inform them that you want additional lights. The designer will consider the light placement when designing the cabinets and electrical system, and will pre-install the wiring. Generally, the wiring is pre-installed behind the cabinet back panel, making the wiring invisible and more aesthetically pleasing.

The wiring for cabinet lights needs to be planned before installation. Typically, the power cord is pre-buried behind the cabinet back panel. When connecting the wires, wrap them with electrical tape. Wall-mounted cabinet lights are generally installed in the center of the bottom of the wall cabinet to reduce shadows. The power should be disconnected before installation, and it is recommended that this be done by a professional. Three-core wire must be used. Sensors should be installed away from obstructions and heat sources, and kept away from direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged direct eye contact with the illuminated surface.
