Cabinet lights are mainly used for localized lighting and decoration within kitchen cabinets, and there are five main types: interior cabinet lighting, under-cabinet lights for countertops and sinks, shelf lights, drawer lights, and base cabinet lights.
1. If the kitchen space is high enough, you can install transparent or semi-transparent pendant lights as a light source.
2. Install adjustable lights. When the light is dim or glaring, it can be adjusted, making people feel more comfortable and at ease.
3. Install a recessed light or spotlight at the lowest point of the top cabinets to reduce shadows while working.
4. Linear incandescent or fluorescent bulbs should be installed facing the front of the cabinets. Part of the light emitted will shine onto the backsplash, reflect onto the countertop, and then illuminate the center of the kitchen.
Generally, these convenient lights can be installed above the kitchen sink and stove. Localized lighting makes washing and cooking more convenient. Convenient lights are typically installed by milling grooves into the bottom of wall cabinets and then installing recessed LEDs, controlled by a sensor radar switch. They don't turn on during the day when sunlight is bright. At night, when the light is dim, they automatically turn on when a person is detected. This is convenient and doesn't waste electricity. Some homes now also have integrated pendant lights installed. If your home has an integrated ceiling, you can pre-install a wiring line during the renovation, and then have the installer drill two holes at the appropriate locations to install the pendant light.
